Our Power, Our Planet
This Earth Day feels a bit different.
During Climate Week, I met someone who started as a complete stranger and ended up feeling like a friend.
Susan Bass from EARTHDAY.ORG and I spent a few days going from event to event together, talking about what it really takes to move things forward.
At one point, we even found ourselves singing climate themed songs with Erika Desmond at a venture capital event to close out the week.
Susan is one of those people who makes you feel hopeful and optimistic.
Now, sitting at my desk on Earth Day, I find myself thinking back to those conversations and reflecting on what this year’s theme really means.
Our power. Our planet.
The more I sit with it, the more it feels aligned with what we have been building at Climatize.
Because at its core, progress does not come from a single institution or a single moment. It comes from people and communities, and from small decisions made consistently over time.
At Climatize, we think of power as something collective. Something built through those decisions. A way for more people to participate directly in the energy transition by supporting renewable energy projects that need capital to move forward.
When we started Climatize, the gap was clear. Projects were ready, but the capital was not there. And most people were never invited into the process.
So we built another path.
Thank you for being part of this. For showing up. For choosing to participate. This is how change happens. Not all at once, but together, over time.

Our actions
If you are wondering what to do today, here is one place to start.
What we are building grows the same way it began. One person at a time. Someone deciding to step in, and inviting someone else along.
If someone came to mind as you read this, send this their way. Someone curious about how these projects come to life, or how they can take part.
For every friend who completes their profile using your referral code, you both receive $50 in investment credit, subject to the referral program terms.
You can review the referral program details and terms here: Climatize Referral Program Terms
