Resilience in Action: How MB Reps Powered Through Hurricane Milton

We are excited to share a real-world update on how the Shifting Gears to Solar project in Nashville, GA, has shown resilience in the face of extreme weather.

Recently, two hurricanes affected Georgia, resulting in widespread power outages. Thanks to the 22.78 kW solar system and 61.44 kWh battery storage installed at MB Reps, Jesse, the owner, and his community were able to maintain power when the rest of the area was without electricity.

A Reliable Energy Source During Power Outages

Jesse shared his experience with Ovanova, the developer of the project, expressing how pleased he was with the system’s performance during the hurricanes. He highlighted how the solar panels and battery storage provided continuous power for seven days while the rest of the city faced outages. Friends and family gathered at MB Reps to charge their phones, freeze food, and use other essentials.

Jesse emphasized that everything from the installation process to the results matched what was promised. Additionally, the solar panels withstood 96 mph winds, proving the durability and reliability of the system.
