Community Impact

Update 2/5/24

This project has been a significant achievement and a substantial benefit for the community. The owner of 3T farms expressed their long-standing desire for solar energy. Now, their property is energy secure and capable of supporting the grid during peak load periods through solar panels and energy storage via battery. The family who owns 3T farms rented out a space on the site to Ovanova, the project developer for this solar installation. The family engaged in community-building activities such as cooking meals for the install team and spending quality time with them after hours. The family’s older boys contributed to the project and learned new skills. Ovanova, recognizing the value of local ambassadors, created three jobs for the family to help them learn skills they could take with them after the installation. Who better to advocate for a program than those who have already reaped its benefits?

This solar project has required all hands on deck to make this transition happen, and they’re coming from within the community. Ovanova also located and trained a very professional local electrician who will help complete the project in the area, keeping as many funds as possible in the local community. Ovanova is thankful to have the opportunity to install solar while making some great friends along the way. Additionally, Ovanova created jobs in a rural, low-income, disadvantaged, and distressed community, which would only have been possible with Climatize’s dedicated green investors.
